Went to visit my mother, aunt, and grandmother's graves today. As if this is not enough of an emotional experience as it is, they have connected the cemetery DIRECTLY to the trails from Valhalla park and put dog poop stations leading into the cemetery, as if this is some recreational area. This is a sacred place, not a place for you to take your dog for a walk to take a hot streaming dump on your loved ones grave. Shortly after reentering my vehicle, out come three people with four dogs, not a single one on a leash, tearing across and running through the headstones. The level of disrespect I felt was immeasurable. All of this combined with half of the cemetery being littered with pink flags literally everywhere, and the water for the flowers being turned off for over half the year (which I understand during the winter to prevent burst pipes underground, but not the middle of spring like last year), just goes to show that they don't care about you or your loved ones after they have your money and your are in the ground. The LEAST they can do is close off the trails leading from the park directly through the cemetery and out the other side.
P.S. - Section 2, paragraph E of the cemetery rules clearly states the following "E. Animals are not permitted in the cemetery unless they are confined within the vehicle. Interment of animals is strictly prohibited." Explain that one.Added October 22, 2016 by Joshua Fish
